Bathroom Renovation FAQ's
How long will it take to complete our bathroom?
Usually 14-16 days to complete. Further delays may be encountered if
detailed cabinets and shower screens are required. We only commence one
job at a time ensuring we are committed to completing each job prior to
commencing another bathroom.
Will our home be left in a clean and tidy manner every day?
We will respect your home. We realise how important it is for our
clients to arrive home from work to a clean and tidy home. We lay a
protective heavy duty covering to all trafficable areas leading to the
work area. If possible, we cover all doors with a protective covering to
confine debris to the work area only. The entire work area is vacuumed
daily ensuring minimal dust enters your home.
Will tradesman turn up when required? We pride
ourselves on excellent client communication. You have the added benefit
of knowing that the company owner will be physically working on your
bathroom daily. You will be notified which tradesman will be on your
premises on any particular day. We keep a detailed job analysis
register.
What are Prime Cost items and Provisional Sums?
Most building contracts include provision for prime cost items and
provisional sums. A prime cost item is an allowance in the contract for
the supply of necessary items not yet finally selected, for example tile
selection, taps, shower screens and vanities. A provisional sum is an
allowance in the contract for the cost of foreseeable necessary work,
including the supply of materials not fully described or detailed at the
time that the contract commenced, for example detailed cabinets.
